Clearing With A Plan

Good clearing starts with a walk of the site and a plan: what comes out, what stays, and where the building, driveway and drainage will go. We clear to open up the building envelope, the access route and the areas you want usable, while protecting the trees, features and property lines you want to keep.

On sloped, forested ground, careless clearing invites erosion. We clear and shape in a way that keeps the site stable and sets up proper drainage, so opening up the ground does not create a mud problem the first wet season.

Stumps, Slash & Debris

Trees and brush are only half the job. Stumps and roots have to come out where you are building, slash has to be handled, and the debris has to go somewhere. We grub stumps, gather and pile or haul off slash and debris, and leave the site clean rather than covered in a tangle of what used to be there.

How the debris is handled depends on your site and preference: piled for burning where allowed, hauled off, or processed on site. We talk through the options and handle it the way that works for your property.

The point of clearing is a site you can build on, so we hand off ground that is genuinely ready: opened up, cleaned off, rough-graded and drained.
